Mr. Ronnie Caldwell
Dear Parents,
I hope all is well!
Last weekend, on August 29th and 30th, we hosted our hackathon, a wonderful event that brought together students from several different schools. It was fantastic to see such great participation.
It’s been equally great seeing our campus so lively after school this week. I had the chance to drop in on volleyball and football practices, and even saw some students coming back from golf practice, which really highlights the variety of sports our students enjoy. Our after-school activities are now in full swing, alongside student leadership. We recently elected our high school grade-level reps, and we’re encouraging our middle schoolers to get ready as we’ll soon be appointing middle school leadership as well.
Please encourage your children to get involved. Active participation in service learning, sports, activities, and academics is a cornerstone of the ISY experience, and we’d love your support in helping students take full advantage of these opportunities.
We also had a fantastic Back-to-School Night last night. It was wonderful seeing so many of you on campus and engaging in great conversations. From all reports, parents really enjoyed meeting our incredible teaching team, and we’re all looking forward to a fantastic year ahead.

Finally, I’m linking a resource on retrieval practice below. Earlier this week, I shared a few retrieval practice tips with our teachers. It’s a powerful strategy that students can use independently, and that you can support at home, to help them learn even more effectively. |
Thank you so much for all of your support.
Be Good,
Mr. C
