| ⛳ Victory on the Greens: Golf Tournament Success |
We are beyond thrilled to celebrate the incredible success of our recent International Schools Golf Tournament right here at ISY! We had the privilege of hosting 40 talented student-athletes representing 7 regional schools in a fantastic showcase of sportsmanship and skill.
In a thrilling finish, our ISY Chinthe Golf Team claimed 1st place in the tournament, finishing a brilliant three strokes ahead of the runner-up squad! Huge congratulations to Anderson, Shine, Hlaing, and Abbas for their remarkable focus, precise execution, and calm under pressure. Watching our Chinthes support each other through every hole was an absolute joy, demonstrating the fine balance between individual focus and collective teamwork.
| 🎖 Growth, Hard Work, and the True Meaning of Winning |
While bringing home a win is an exciting moment for our entire community, winning is a testament to our student-athletes' dedication—not the sole measure of our success. True athletic growth lies in the journey: early morning practices, tactical reflection, and the courage to push past our perceived limits.
Our Chinthe teams have shown tremendous, measurable improvement across all sports. This progress is no coincidence; it is the direct outcome of relentless hard work, positive self-talk, and building each other up through every single play. Wins will come and go, but the resilience, compassion, and shared bonds our athletes develop on the field will stay with them for life.
Looking ahead, these early-season fixtures serve as vital stepping stones toward our annual SEASAC and YAC competitions later this fall. The upcoming Community Run is an event we hope to continue every year where students, parents, and faculty gather to promote lifelong fitness and Chinthe Spirit!
