Mr Geoff Heney
Dear Parents,
It has been a wonderful week on campus as I completed walkthroughs across our elementary spaces, from our youngest 3-year-olds in Early Years up to Grade 5. Seeing our school culture in action across classrooms, the playground, the pitch, and the lunchroom is a daily highlight. Throughout my visits, I observed the Chinthe Way of Joy, Connection, Psychological Safety, and Growth alive in every corner of our primary school.

Connection showed up in the gentle, supportive interactions across age groups. In Early Years, I saw children practicing sharing and taking turns with open-ended play materials, while on the primary playground, Grade 5 students were welcoming younger peers into pickup games, ensuring everyone had a chance to participate. |
|
Safety was evident in our Morning Meetings, early literacy, and math learning spaces. I watched students comfortably raise their hands to try answering challenging questions, knowing that mistakes are simply part of the learning process. Teachers provided warm encouragement, creating spaces where every child feels secure enough to express their thinking without fear of judgment. |

Growth was on full display during physical education, music, and in collaborative classroom projects. Whether a 4-year-old was mastering balance on outdoor play equipment, a Grade 4 team was working through a complex problem-solving task, or a class was learning a new song and collaborative dance, students demonstrated resilience, focus, and pride in their progress. |

Finally, Joy was present everywhere. From the shared giggles during story circle in Kindergarten to the enthusiastic high-fives at the entrance of school, the bright energy of our elementary students brings our campus to life every single day. |

Thank you for your partnership as we nurture these core values in our youngest learners.
Wishing you all a wonderful long weekend!
Regards,
