Dear Parents,
From November Gratitude to December Cheer!
It feels like time is flying by! With just ten school days remaining until our Winter Break, the excitement is starting to build.
Celebrating International Day
What an amazing International Day! To all the parents who so generously ran a country booth, please accept our deepest THANK YOU. The day was a magnificent spectacle of color, laughter, and cultural pride.
We also celebrate our brave student performers. Sharing a talent takes courage, and their vulnerability and joy lit up the stage. A huge round of applause, too, for our dedicated Parent Association, Ms. Sheppard, and Ms. Bekka. The success of the day is a testament to their incredible time, effort, and thoughtful organization.
Teamwork Wins on the Court
We were thrilled to see over 20 students from Grades 3-5 participate in a friendly basketball game with YIS this week.
While their individual skills shone, what truly impressed me was their phenomenal teamwork and exemplary sportsmanship. Watching them consistently pass the ball and play with such joy was the highlight of the week!
Holiday Prep: Keeping the Basics Strong
With the excitement of the holidays approaching, it can be easy for routines to slip. For the next two weeks, I encourage families to focus on maintaining the foundational habits that support student well-being:
-
🛌 Consistent Sleep: Essential for focus and energy.
-
🧘♂️ Good Nutrition: Fueling their busy minds and bodies.
-
📖 Daily Reading: A powerful anchor for learning.
-
🚴♀️ Free Play & exercise: Crucial for creativity and emotional regulation.
These routines are our best tool for ensuring a successful and happy finish to the year.
Wishing you all a wonderful weekend ahead!
Regards,
Mr. Geoff Heney
