Diving into Community Wellness

Our swimming program at ISY continues to be a cornerstone of our commitment to the Sustainability of student health and well-being. This Saturday, May 16th, we are incredibly proud to see our Chinthes take to the water for the YAC Swim Meet. Beyond the excitement of competition, swimming offers a unique path for student growth, requiring immense courage and reflection as they master each stroke.

We also want to encourage our entire community to embrace the health benefits of our world-class facilities. Swimming is a lifelong skill that fosters physical strength and mental clarity. Our pool is not just for our competitive teams; it is a space for all Chinthes to work toward their personal fitness goals. If you are looking to improve your technique or are just starting your journey in the water, our professional swim instructors are always on hand to provide support and guidance.

Recent Match Highlights

MIDDLE SCHOOL
🏸 MS Badminton: YAC Tournament Results

Our Middle School Badminton athletes displayed incredible grit and determination during their season-ending tournament. The boys’ team secured a hard-fought 3rd place finish, navigating a series of intense matches with high spirits. Dennis was a standout, earning the MVP title for his exceptional skill and leadership on the court. Regardless of the scoreboard, the boys maintained the "Chinthe Spirit," showing resilience and positivity even in the face of challenging opponents.

The girls’ team also excelled, finishing in 2nd place after a very tight race for the top spot. While they ultimately won more individual matches than any other school, ILBC claimed 1st place through team defeats. Despite the narrow second-place finish, the girls' focus and competitive drive were inspiring to witness. Their performance throughout the day was a testament to their growth this season, proving that success is measured not just by trophies, but by the courage to compete at one's highest level. Yee Yee was our girls MVP because of her hard fought matches and never ending determination.

HIGH SCHOOL
⚽ HS Boys Football: ISY 5 - 2 CIC

The High School Boys Football team delivered a commanding performance this past Friday, securing a 5-2 victory against CIC. The match was a masterclass in collaboration and communication, as the boys displayed significantly improved tactical awareness on the pitch. From the opening whistle, our Chinthes played with a sense of unity that allowed them to control the tempo of the game and execute their plays with precision.

Individual contributions were pivotal to this success. Bram did an exceptional job stepping into the role of goalkeeper, providing a steady and confident presence that anchored our defense. On the offensive end, Jonathan was a constant threat, finding the back of the net multiple times to lead the scoring. However, the true highlight was the collective strength of the team; every player contributed to a performance that perfectly balanced individual skill with a selfless commitment to the group's success.
