Recent Match Highlights
MIDDLE SCHOOL YAC FOOTBALL TOURNAMENTS
⚽ MS Girls Result: 2nd Place (ISY 5-0 YIS / ISY 2-3 Network / ISY 0-1 ILBC / ISY 2-0 ISM)
The Middle School Girls' Football team delivered a performance defined by heart and hustle at the recent YAC Tournament, securing a hard-fought second-place finish. Competing with only eight players and no substitutes, the Chinthes showcased incredible stamina and tactical growth throughout the day.
The tournament opened with a dominant 5-0 victory over YIS, setting a confident tone. While the team faced a narrow 3-2 loss to Network and a 1-0 defeat against the eventual champions, ILBC, they remained resilient. In a must-win final match against ISM, the girls executed a disciplined defensive plan to neutralize long-range threats, securing a 2-0 win and a top-three spot.
Individual brilliance anchored the team's success. Angel led the attack with five goals, while Anna controlled the midfield with three goals and several key assists. Defensively, Fiona and Thit were a "wall," winning the majority of counter-attack balls, and Maya’s two clean sheets in goal provided a steady foundation for the squad. Luisa became the engine of the team, linking defense and attack, and delivered her best performance in the final game. Naya showed great versatility, always ready to play wherever needed and stepping in whenever a teammate was injured or tired, effectively supporting the team as an outfield player.
Go Chinthes!
⚽ MS Boys Result: Tournament Finalists (Final Day Undefeated)
The Middle School Boys’ Football team demonstrated incredible character and grit during this week's five-team YAC Tournament. While the opening day proved to be a test of resolve following two narrow defeats due to slow starts, the scoreboard did not reflect the high morale and competitive spirit the Chinthes maintained throughout the competition.
Day two saw a complete tactical and mental turnaround for ISY. Facing the tournament favorites in their third match, the boys displayed magnificent spirit and dominant play to secure a well-deserved victory. They carried that momentum into the final game against another top-seeded side, battling to a hard-fought draw. Finishing the final day undefeated was a testament to the team’s refusal to give up.
Consistency was key to this comeback, led by Bram and Thurain, who were both outstanding while playing every single minute of every game. Their endurance and leadership anchored the squad, proving that this team has the heart to compete with the best. Go Chinthes!
