Mr Mike Simpson
Dear Secondary School Families,
🧳 Chinthe Expedition Experiences
There was a special energy on campus this week with the return of our high school students from their Chinthe Expeditions. They came back a little tired but full of stories of what they had experienced beyond the classroom.
I was with our Grade 10 students on their Chinthe Expedition to India, so I had a firsthand sense of just how special that time was. The Grade 9 and 11 students whom I spoke with this week all shared stories of fun, challenges, and teamwork from Vietnam and Malaysia.
These shared stories strengthen our community and become memories that our students will carry long after graduation.
After the break, it is our middle school students’ turn. They will be travelling to Chiang Mai in Thailand. And finally, after their final exams, our Seniors will be off on their trip of a lifetime to Ladakh, India.
🎶 Secondary School Music Concert
Our secondary school students will begin the holiday season with their first music concert of the year on Wednesday, December 10, at 4:00 PM. We are excited to share this special music with you, featuring performances by Band 6, Band 7, Band 8, and high school music students. These students will remain after school to prepare for the concert.
Here are the key details:
Our students have worked hard to prepare for this event, and this is their opportunity to showcase their dedication and growth as musicians. Attendance is required for all students, and we encourage families and friends to join us in celebrating their efforts and talents after our annual Holiday Bazaar.

Kind Regards,
Mr. Mike Simpson

📚 Building our Learning Communities: Present, Prepared, and Ready to Learn
Regular and timely attendance is one of the most reliable indicators of academic success. To make the most of every learning opportunity, it is important that students are not unnecessarily missing or late to classes.
Parents receive automated emails that let you know if your child has been marked absent or late to a class that day. However, we understand that some students need more support from us to get to class on time. To help all students develop strong attendance habits, every week on Friday afternoon between 3:30 PM and 4:20 PM, there will be a compulsory supervised study session for those students who are late to (or skip) Period 1 twice in a week or late to (or skip) class 4 times in total in a week.
We appreciate your partnership in helping students develop strong attendance habits. Together, we can ensure that every student is present, prepared, and ready to learn each day.
