Dear Parents,

✅ Week Two Complete

Having these shorter weeks for our younger students has been a true blessing as they transition back into the school routine. The end-of-week breaks give children the crucial time they need to rest, recharge, and consolidate all the exciting learning they’ve experienced, as well as build their physical and mental stamina for the weeks to come.

At school, we maintain structured, predictable routines to help build this stamina gradually. You can support this at home in three vital ways:

Nutrition:

Fueling growing minds and bodies with balanced meals and whole foods keeps energy levels steady throughout the day. You can help by packing nutritious, sustaining snacks (like fruits, vegetables, and proteins) and ensuring your child eats a wholesome breakfast before heading out the door.

Sleep:

Quality sleep is where memory consolidation and emotional regulation happen. Establishing a consistent, early bedtime routine, and keeping screens out of the bedroom before sleep, helps your child wake up refreshed and ready to learn.

Unstructured Play Over Screens:

Pediatric research highlights that rapid screen stimulation can fatigue a child's developing attention span, increase eye strain, and impair self-regulation. Swapping screen time for open-ended, child-led play allows young minds to decompress. Free time to build, draw, explore outdoors, or invent games naturally strengthens focus, creativity, and executive function.

Thank you for partnering with us to give your children the strongest start possible!
