🎨 Arts Spotlight: A Celebration of Creativity and Performance
It has been an incredible week for the Arts at ISY. We were honored to host the IB Art Show, where our senior students demonstrated profound creativity and reflection through their capstone projects. Each piece served as a testament to their growth as artists and global thinkers. Also this week, our school Musical Production will open tonight and have a second performance tomorrow (Saturday). The stage will come alive with the results of months of collaboration and hard work. These events remind us how the arts foster a deep sense of belonging within our Chinthe community.

🎨 Chasing Glory: YAC HS Football Finals
The energy on campus is electric this week as our High School Football teams compete in the YAC Finals. After a season of development, our athletes are putting their skills to the test against the city’s best teams. Win or lose, we are immensely proud of the courage our players show on the pitch. This week is the culmination of their dedication, and we invite the entire community to come out and support our Chinthes as they strive for the podium.

🏐 MS Boys Volleyball: ISY 2-1 ILBC
The Middle School Boys showed incredible resilience in a nail-biting comeback victory against ILBC. After a difficult first set where they struggled to find their rhythm, the Chinthes displayed great reflection, identifying weaknesses in the opponent's service to roar back with a 25-16 win in the second set. The match came down to a tense final tie-breaker, which ISY claimed to secure the overall win. George and Dennis were instrumental in this turnaround, putting in maximum effort and leading the team with a "never-give-up" attitude that defined the match.
🏐 MS Boys Volleyball: ISY 2-1 ILBC
In a match that felt like a "roller coaster," our Middle School Girls dug deep to find the courage to win. Though the pace was slow and energy levels were challenged, the team stayed united to take the win by a narrow two-point margin in the final set. Estina and May Moe were the models of consistency, playing with a steady hand when the pressure was highest. Vivian stood out for her focus, following the ball relentlessly to keep rallies alive. This victory was a true testament to the team’s reflection and ability to persevere even when not at their physical peak.
HIGH SCHOOL

In a heart-wrenching YAC Semi-Final, our High School Boys demonstrated the true meaning of the Chinthe spirit. The team started with a dominant display of collaboration, surging to a 3-0 lead nearly to halftime. While Network managed a late-game comeback to win in the final minute, the Chinthes' performance was marked by unwavering courage. Jonathan and Yan stood out for their relentless work rate; even as the momentum shifted, they refused to give up, embodying the grit we value in our athletic program.
⚽ HS Girls Football: ISY 4 - 2 YIS (Semi-Final)
The High School Girls secured their place in the final with a tactically brilliant 4-2 victory over YIS. Utilizing a 2-3-1 formation, the Chinthes showed great critical thinking, with wingers cutting inside to create scoring opportunities. When the match sat at a 1-1 deadlock, a strategic shift moved our defensive midfielder into an attacking role, fueling a three-goal surge. Despite a late injury to our captain, the team showed great resilience to protect the lead. Victoria "led like a general," acting as the engine of the team, while Penny’s cleverness earned her two goals. Angel and Kyi Sin also found the net, capping off a dominant performance built on cohesive team play.
