🌎 Middle School MUN: Building Cooperation Amidst Division |
MUN, or Model United Nations, is a debate conference that emulates the spirit of the United Nations through simulating it on a city-wide scale.
Over the weekend, our Middle School students came together with students from other international schools in Yangon for the annual Middle Years Yangon MUN (MY-YMUN) conference.
Rather than a traditional debate, where the aim is to argue and win against your opponents, MUN puts a larger emphasis on diplomacy and negotiation in order to come to actionable solutions against real-world global issues. Delegates represent different countries and take on their respective stances, coming together to address the same issues whilst proposing different solutions with the hope of implementing the one that's in the best interest of their represented nation.
This conference was organized by our High School students for Middle School students who were assisted by our Elementary School students. It was a truly student-led school-wide event that embodies much of what is special about our school.

This week’s University Admissions: Insider Tips workshop will be on Tuesday, May 5. Mr. A-G has put together a panel of representatives from universities around the world. University pathways are evolving, with more options available to our students. Explore a wider range of destinations and gain a clearer understanding of what these choices can offer for study, experience, and future direction.
We have already started planning our Chinthe Expeditions for next year. At this stage, we are pleased to announce our dates and destinations. More information will follow as we move closer to the departure date.
