Dear Parents,

It has been a productive and focused 3 days in the Elementary School. As we settle into the final six weeks of the academic year, it is the perfect time to look ahead at how we can best support our students during what is traditionally the busiest season of the school year.

The final stretch of any school year brings a natural mix of excitement and "end-of-year fatigue." When the school calendar fills up with transition events and final projects, students actually thrive most when their daily routines remain predictable and calm.

Consistent home schedules act as an "anchor," allowing students to bring their best selves to school each day. Here are the three pillars we recommend focusing on to sustain their momentum:

3 Ways to Support Our Students at Home in the Final Weeks
  • 😴 Sleep Consistency: Academic stamina is fueled by rest. Even as the days get warmer and evening activities might increase, maintaining a consistent bedtime helps ensure that students arrive at school regulated and ready for the cognitive demands of the day.

  • 🌞 The "Ready-to-Learn" Morning: A calm, predictable morning routine helps students start their day in the "Green Zone." When students arrive at school feeling unhurried, they are significantly better equipped to navigate social interactions and complex learning tasks.

  • 🔋 Predictable Afternoon Decompression: After a high-energy day of learning, students benefit from a consistent "soft landing" at home. Whether it’s 20 minutes of quiet reading or a set time for homework, these habits help them process the day’s growth without feeling overwhelmed.

A kind reminder that there is no school Thursday and Friday this week.

Regards,
