šŸ’ƒ Celebrating Artistic Excellence: SEASAC Dance

Our dancers recently returned from the SEASAC Dance Invitational at the Alice Smith School in Kuala Lumpur, where they represented ISY with incredible creativity and courage. This event was a powerful display of internationalism, connecting our students with peers across the region through the universal language of movement. A special congratulations goes to Momo, who was recognized with one of only nine awards given at the festival for Most Effort in Jazz. Momo’s dedication to her craft and her relentless work ethic during rehearsals and performances truly embody the Chinthe spirit of growth and reflection.

⚽ Community Spirit: Mini League Football Conclusion

This week marked the successful conclusion of our Mini League Football season. It was a heartwarming community moment as students, staff, and faculty gathered to cheer on our athletes. We want to extend a massive thank you to Pyae and Nathan for their exceptional collaboration and leadership in organizing the league and the whole of Community Sports for their involvement; their initiative is a prime example of students taking ownership of their learning environment. Congratulations to the Green Machine for their hard-fought victory! Beyond the scores, the league provided a vital space for belonging, where every participant could experience the joy of the game and the strength of our community.Ā  Congratulations to all participants!!

šŸŒ Hosting Global Thinkers: Middle Years YMUN ConferenceĀ

Starting today, ISY is proud to host the Yangon Model United Nations (YMUN) conference. This event is a cornerstone of our commitment to developing compassionate global citizens who are prepared to tackle complex world issues. Over the next few days, delegates will practice critical thinking and communication as they debate, negotiate, and collaborate on resolutions for global challenges. We wish all participants—especially our ISY delegates—the best of luck. May your discussions be fruitful, and may you find the courage to advocate for a more sustainable and just world.
