Mr Geoff Heney
Dear Parents,
We had quite the Thingyan Celebration today! Students were treated to delicious food generously shared by our Myanmar parents (Thank You!), an educational assembly highlighting the beautiful culture in which we live, and, of course, water play! I can happily say that I ended the day drenched.
It has been quite a run-up to Thingyan Break. As I visited classrooms and the playground this week, I reflected on the incredible growth our students have made, not just academically, but in their ability to collaborate, think flexibly, and reflect on their own learning.
When we return on April 22, we will have only 35 school days remaining. It will be a busy, learning-filled stretch, and we will be focusing on maintaining consistent schedules to best support the students. Please note that active teaching in the elementary school runs right up until June 10. We kindly ask that you make your summer plans for after our final day of school, June 11.
Wishing you all a wonderful, safe, and refreshing Thingyan holiday!
Regards,
Mr. Geoff Heney
Elementary School Principal
