Happy Friday, ISY Parents!

I hope you have had as wonderful a week as we have had here in the Elementary School. This week, we celebrated the joy of literature with our annual Book Week.

Ms. Nadine and her library team offered a variety of wonderful opportunities to engage with reading, including:

Reading Picnics in the Chinthe Hub.

Character Day, where stories truly came to life.

Mystery Readers, who surprised our classrooms throughout the week.

I had the good fortune of reading to both Grade 4 classes this week. Engaging in literature with children is one of my favorite aspects of being an educator.

You can continue this momentum at home in both your home language and English! Providing a variety of books based on your child’s specific interests is key. You might even consider starting your own family book club! Studies consistently show that the more parents get involved in their children's reading, the more skilled and interested a student becomes.

❗Important Dates & Reminders
  • March 27 – Parent-Teacher Conferences: Please note that in the Elementary School, these meetings are specifically for parents and teachers. We kindly ask that you make alternative supervision arrangements for your children at home that day.

  • April 3 – Progress Reports: We will be sharing student progress reports with all families on this date.

Wishing you all a wonderful weekend ahead!
