✊ Supporting Our Students at SEASAC

This week, our community’s spirit extends far beyond our campus as we send our talented athletes and musicians across the region for SEASAC competitions. We have Chinthes traveling for SEASAC Music, SEASAC Softball, and SEASAC Badminton. These international experiences allow students to represent ISY while connecting with peers from international schools across the region.

We wish all our participants the very best of luck! For those who wish to cheer from afar, you can find more information and access livestreams through the following official tournament websites:

ELEMENTARY SCHOOL
⚽ ES Football: ISY 6 - 3 ISM

The Elementary Chinthes opened their match against ISM with a surge of energy, quickly establishing control through positive passing and effective Collaboration. Despite the warm weather, the team maintained a high level of effort to lead 4-3 at the half. In the second half, the squad remained composed to secure a 6-3 victory. George was a wall in goal, making multiple vital saves that protected our momentum. Elsa displayed incredible determination, while John and Junseo showed great courage in their first external match. We also welcomed Sai to the team, who integrated seamlessly with his new teammates.

MIDDLE SCHOOL
🏐 MS Boys Volleyball: ISY vs ISM

With four of our veteran players traveling for SEASAC, our Middle School squad demonstrated the true Chinthe spirit of resilience. Though the scoreboard showed a narrow loss (16-25, 19-25), the narrative of the game was one of growth and adaptability. Adian was a standout at the service line, winning six consecutive points to give us an early lead, and provided excellent setting throughout. Despite injuries to Lucas and George during the heat of play, the team remained positive and focused. Leo and George anchored the front line with disciplined defending, proving that even in transition, our athletes prioritize team unity and Reflection.

HIGH SCHOOL
HS Boys Football: ISY 0 - 2 YIS

In a challenging YAC fixture against a strong YIS side, our High School boys faced a steep learning curve. After conceding an early goal, the Chinthes fought tirelessly to regain control of the tempo. While the final result was not in our favor, the "Chinthe Spirit" was evident in the relentless effort displayed across the pitch. Yan Naing was particularly noteworthy, delivering a tireless performance and leading by example through his work rate. This match serves as a valuable opportunity for the squad to reflect on tactical discipline as they prepare for their next outing.

⚽ HS Girls Football: ISY 2 - 3 YIS

The High School Girls displayed immense Courage and tactical flexibility in a closely contested match against YIS. The Chinthes started strong, finding the back of the net early from a well-executed corner kick. While the opponent found an equalizer before the half, our team continued to create dangerous chances through the smart movement and passing of Penny, who excelled in her role as a false 9.

In the second half, the game became a test of physical strength as YIS took the lead with two long-range strikes. Our Chinthes responded with impressive Critical Thinking, adjusting their formation to a 1-3-2 to push for a rally. Victoria continued her exceptional scoring streak, contributing two goals and proving her clinical instinct in front of the net.

Although the match ended in a narrow defeat, the players' determination and refusal to give up highlighted the very best of the Chinthe spirit.
